SNOWWWW!!

Libbie took these picture's.
She has quite the gift, I'd say.

Friday

Just another day...

Holidays just aren't the same without the one you love the most.

Michael ate his dinner all by himself in his room because the DFAC was too full.
He didn't want to wait in line for 30 minutes for pie. It broke my heart to hear he ate alone, him going without pie didn't really make me too sad:)
This is just one of the things hes willing to do...for you.

Here is my poem for the annual Burton Thanksgiving Day
poem contest.

The First Thanksgiving..something to think about.

Did the Pilgrims invite the Indians to eat
Or did the Indians say "It would be our treat?"
Then they put another leaf in their wooden table
and ate as much Stouffer's stuffing as they were able.
Something to think about....

Why was it Turkey, and not spaghetti
Did the pilgrims have celiacs , allergic to bready?
Did they just have corn, or corn on the cob?
was anyone named cecilia or Bob?
Something to think about....

What kind of games did the little kids play
was it video games, the wii or TV all day
Was it Red rover red rover sent 'Eagle Feather' right over
Then pretend to be monsters like Cookie and Grover.
Something to think about....

Did the adults sit around and talk politics
Or who'd win the world series, Yankees or nicks?
Did they fight about who had to do the clean up
Then pore more Martinelli's into their cup?
Something to Think about....

Did they tell uncle Louie to play them a song
on old grandmas piano, don't make it too long?
Did the indians dance with the old turkeys feather
Then sit around talking about the cold weather?
Something to think about....

Did they say they were stuffed, could not eat one more bite.
Then unbutton their pants to make them less tight
When eaten to much, and had to go number two
Did they number there bowels, or simply say poo
Something to think about....

Did the Indians choose this time to not be forgiving
and want back their land, prior they'd only been living.
Or did they give courtesy hugs when saying adieu.
a nice pat on the back a.. "Nice to see you"
Something to think about....

Did they go to their homes, tuck the kids into bed.
Checking their facebook, 3 messages read.
Then turn up the heat, its a cold one tonight
Thank goodness for Tums, pie ain't sit'n right.
Something to think about...

If the Pilgrims and Indians hadn't gotten together
and plucked a big turkey, every last feather.
And eaten cornbread with their spoons made of leather.
We wouldn't be here, on Thanksgiving together..
Something to think about....

Tuesday

Azalyn Rose Allan

It's seriously funny that I had her no later than 12 hours after I wrote that last post.
I call it "pregnancy Transition".

Monday

Nine months pregnant!!!!

Feeling every last drop of it! and more...
Itchy itchy and more itchy with a little bit of itchy on top of that.
Why.. why is the question I ask regularly, though I know I am not suppose to.
At the end of My pregnancies I always get crazy itchy. It happens worse at night, so on top of that, I don't sleep. It is usually all over but takes turns to flare up in certain spots. My hands are sore from scratching, I think I have carpal tunnel. Good things about it? By the time I go into labor I think "Bring it on!" and having a new born that is up all night and healing from child birth... Heaven!
That's just one very annoying aspect, so here's to all you sisters out there who have sacrificed your entire being for your child. This is JUST the last month...
Hot flashes, retained water, food sitting next to throat and burning it, back ache, leg cramps, constipation, diarrhea, food cravings, food aversions, insomnia, gas, grumpiness, people that bug, don't want to do your hair, don't want to wear clothes, arms and legs falling asleep while sleeping, chunky butt, chunky everything, low iron, no energy, UTI's, teeth rotting, can't breathe, always out of breathe, tight skin, annoying husbands and children needing things.
That covers 1/16th of it.
Am I complaining..... Heck yes I am!
...and to think our kids will take us for granted.
The nerve!

Tuesday

EllieOra Turns 3!!!

She had a party on Friday, then her birthday was on Sunday and we celebrated at Grandma's
She loves being the center and a social butterfly. She is so fun to get for. She enjoyed every present. On Sunday morning her Dad got to sing "Happy Birthday" to her from Iraq.
What a little Joy she is.

*Because I am big, miserable and pregnant, Libbie did most of the work for the party, I am very proud of her and her hard work..and the boys.

FYI: What a day is like for Michael..

I asked Michael what a normal day is and this is what he wrote me....

My days have been so busy but maybe they will slow down a bit after we start flying. Right now my days are kinda ground hog day.
I wake up at 0600 and call you tell arround 645 then off to PT tell 830 then shower, breakfast and at the office by 9 then I work issues or paperwork most of the morning. But hopefully this paper work will stop once we are all set up. I basically work on how we will train, and on classes for the guys. Then off to lunch and then back to the office to finish anytihng that got started I didn't finish before lunch. Then at 430 I have a meeting with everyone that is involved with this site and the project. Then once that meeting is over and all of my stuff is taken care of I head to the hooch, call you then go to dinner, study either my limits or learn a card trick, then call you again before bed then some scripture study and then off to nighty night to start all over again.
Hopefully after we start flying things will be different. I am going to be on the midnight to noon slot, so our calls will probably change a bit. I am actually not sure how that will effect us. :( Wish I could stay on this schedule for that reason.
For those that don't know, Michael's group of guys is the first group over there starting up this brand new UAS. This is the first one they put together to be flown in Iraq, just the other day.
He thinks things will change quite a bit (as for his schedule) when they start flying.

Friday

Marysvale tradition..

When I was young we use to travel to Marysvale, Utah for the 24th festivities. In fact there is a picture of Michael and I around the ages of 9-11 running in the skating rink for one of the many fun traditions. This year the boys got to do the same thing. Catch fish with their hands. It was so much fun to watch. Uncle Kendal coached em and we got 14 fish! We learned how to gut them and then Kendal BBQ'd them. YUM!! They also got to do it with their cousins, just like we did!. It is one of my fondest memories and Aadric seems to agree. He said "That was the funnest thing Ive ever done!!"

Monday

Military Days at the zoo!

You cant pass up free zoo day!.. or maybe ya can.
I asked Grandma Mickee if she would help me keep the kids rallied at the Zoo.
So we headed out, finding out soon enough that "Free Military Days" is popular.
Parking the big white Van was......FUN!
We also soon found out that it was a hot hot day......Really fun!
What better conditions to go see animals? When its hot, they hide, when its crowded, they do the same.
Well, being the big pregnant trooper that I am, I dragged (oh wait...or did they drag me? Cant remember its a bit of a blur) those hot tired kids and grandma all around the Zoo, hurrying through, seeing what animals were natural born desert animals. All 4 of them! (Glad we didn't pay the $55.00 it would have been)
Needless to say, it wasn't really fun. I'm sure allot to do with my pregnancy, but the best part of the whole time was the poem we came up with on the way home:
"One , two go to the Zoo
Three, Four elephants snore.
Five, six Monkeys on sticks
Seven, Eight head for the gate
Nine ten, lets not go again"
We all had a good laugh over that, then came to grandmas and had homemade pop cycles.

Grandma must have been tired, she accidently cut Kaedrin off:)
